Liftera

Liftera is a HIFU device from Asterasys with a pen-type applicator. Use this page to ask clear questions in English.

How it works

Liftera is a high-intensity focused ultrasound system made by Asterasys, and it uses a pen-type applicator. Instead of a larger handpiece, the pen form can make it easier to work on smaller or curved areas. Focused ultrasound creates tiny heat points under the skin, and the healing response may firm the tissue over time. The provider chooses the depth and the number of passes. Results vary, and not everyone is a good candidate.

Good to know

  • A pen-type applicator is about handling and reach. It does not by itself say how the result will look.
  • Ask which areas it will be used on, such as around the eyes, jawline, or neck.
  • You may feel heat or a sharp zing at some spots.
  • Temporary redness, swelling, or numbness can happen.

Asking about Liftera in English

Ask the coordinator to write "Liftera by Asterasys" in your plan so the name cannot be mixed up with other lifting machines. If they use a nickname, ask what the official product name is.

The pen applicator may be used for fine areas. Ask the doctor which parts of your plan use it and which do not, and ask what you should do if the heat feels too strong. A simple sentence like "Please tell me before each new area" helps you stay in the loop.

Liftera: common questions

What does the pen-type applicator change for me?

It mainly changes how the provider can reach small areas. Your plan and your skin still decide the outcome.

Can it be combined with other treatments?

Sometimes, but timing depends on your skin and the doctor's judgment. Ask for the order and spacing in writing.

What if I feel too much heat?

Say so right away. Agree on a word or hand signal before you begin.
